On Saturday 29th Sept, I went with 3 of my friends (Lemf, Bobafettsmum and Steve(a non Fummbl player) to my first tabletop competition at the Hobbit pub in Southampton.

Arriving in a wheelchair as my main transport at present, due surgery, it was an eye opener for myself, specially the 39 steps down into the Gardens of the Hobbit.

26 other diehards had arrived from various locations in the south of England, it was nice to talk to others about the game, thier outlooks and theories of BB.

The day was lovely, games were good, company brill and results for some were great and for me ..well lets say I didnt get beaten badly.

Playing LRB5 for the first time, opened my eyes to the new changes some good, some bad. But in general it is ok, heheh some of the changes werent good for teams I use.

After 2 days of gaming and for some 2 days and a nite..yes somone was on fummbl playing thru out the nite after drinking most ppl under the table. It was a good weekend, only trouble cant tell the results coz I cant get onto TalkBB at present.

steve won a spot prezzie for 1st to finish his game in the 4th Round, but came 2nd last...not bad as he usually wins the onyx phallus in our own Tabletop league.

Lemf won the Fellowship of the Ring prezzie and a massive headache, I think came 18th

Me, I won a plaque for most kills, Maims and Torn Limbs from my oppenents....I did a massive (PLUS 20) in 5 games, (poor gary, and his ogres, 7 dead, 4 KOs and 1 of his sent off)..... not bad for Khemri, I believe I came 3rd or 4th Last!!

and bobafettsmum came the highest out of the 4 of us, he came 10th.

Thanks to organiser Simon.(sorry dont know your screenname), and to the others I met including sillysod, ronnieT, blocknroll, Bleacher (I was robbed of a draw in the 16th turn by him) and the many others, who I forgot thier screen names.

its the taking part that was so good, even thou nearly killed myself using crutches to climb those 39 steps!!!
