Ineligible Games
I know this is partly my fault, but I've had a couple of good games get played only to find out that the game doesn't count due to the 40pt strength difference. Would it kill someone to have that come up BEFORE the game? Sometimes we do the math wrong, or we're so happy to find a game we don't check.
It can't be that hard to have the system check when you're starting the game and give some sort of message that your game won't count. It's just frustrating.

Its not a matter of math.

No game with moar than a 40 TS difference looks anything close to fair. For these games to happen... someone was looking for an easy match.

Usually, I'd agree. But my last game it was an honest mistake. It was a good, hard fought game. But you're right, most of the time it's somebody out there cherry-picking.

The other key point here is that the client is completely independent of the FUMBBL site. The client does not attempt to enforce FUMBBL rules. One other note - these matchups would be valid in certain other divisions, Faction or League, for example.

I dont think there is actually a stage where the site -could- tell you... the first time anyone knows you're playing is when you connect to the client and no-one here can reprogram the client.

Partly you fault? Unles you are legally math-retarded, then it is entirely your fault. If you step out in front of a speeding train is is only "partly" your fault? Look left, look right, look left again...

Wow, pythrr, you must be a real treat to live with. There was another player involved, and he made the same mistake. So it happens. But thanks for taking the moral high road. Thanks to everyone who gave a useful answer though.

No morals (highground or otherwise) involved.

this is matter of intellect, not morals.
