First Non-Loss
So finally had my first non-loss today!
Already retired my Skaven team after 1 game, 4 of them injured and missing next game, one of those and one other with niggling injuries. I learned skaven don't last long against Ogres. By the end of the first round, all but 1 player was KO or injured.
As for my Human team, had my first game where the ogre actually did more than 2 or 3 moves a game, and had him cripple two of the elves while one of the blockers, or maybe a linesman, injured another (miss a game, -1 av and niggling injury). The game was a draw, but I actually got a td and had the ball one space away at turn 8, but had sadly used go for it twice already.
Remembered how much dice can change and effect a game, and have now decided to offer praise and maybe sac. a chicken or two before games to both Nuffle and the dice god pre-game.

Welcome to fumbbl ! And like Chrome_ghoul said, don't get discouraged. I think it took me longer than that to pull off a tie. Soon you will be winning too ! :]

just a minor thing.. Nuffle is the dice god. If you imply there is another, he will make you cry like little Rotters who are being Piled On.
Other than that.. Hurrah! Another player! I too had a terrible winning streak at the start (I think of my first 20 games, I won 2.) But I learned, and now I'm up to an almost exactly even win/loss ratio!

Best thing I can suggest to newcomers... watch others play :)
It's fun to spec (cheer, boo, etc.) and you can learn a lot by looking at how other people do things... especially good coaches.
Chicken sacrifices work too, though... and it's something that you can easily do while you spec someone else's game. Then you're ready for yours and can have your hands clean by then! ;D

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who posted, and don't worry, I didn't get even close to discouraged, think I might stay here for a long while :)
