Any Western Hemisphere Coaches looking to help start up a league?
My brother and I have been talking about wanting to get more involved in a league community that would cooperate with our schedules. We are both very active coaches that are interested in finding a few other active coaches to form a league with, but the time zone difference has pretty much eliminated us from playing in many EU/EasternHemisphere leagues.

We haven't really discussed(or really shown much interested in) setting up a theme or too many restrictions. If anything, maybe no wizards and limiting the amount of fouls. Splitting the league up into divisions that would end with a double-bracket playoff would be ideal if we get the numbers.

If you show any interest, please message me or comment here with suggestions.

I'm not trying to rule out any non-Western Hemisphere(North/South America primarily) coaches, but we personally are only available during the week in the afternoon/evening, and weekends can tend to be unpredictable for match scheduling. So we are looking for coaches active around the BB server times of 2200-1000. That's afternoon/evenings for the Western Hemisphere.

Go to the Eastern Hemisphere and take a hard left, can't miss it.

Try a couple seasons in NCBB: if you prove yourself there as reliable and fun to play against (good is a bonus, but not necessary), you can get into other NA leagues pretty easily.

You want to set up your own league or join an existing league?

There are probably around a half dozen or so NA time zone leagues, but if you want to start a new one go for it.

Just fluff it up and advertise and I'm sure you'll get enough joiners. Trouble is getting people who will stay and not flake ;)

Depending on your poison there are several good leagues in NA. You are in luck because all are or going to be recruiting in the near future. I started with NWFL, which a very good starter league. NCBB is also very good. The other ones (CFFL, NBFL) are more or less the guys who have come up through the ranks from those 2 leagues. They are all very involved (a game a week) and somewhat Fluff driven. I think the first 2 are the best to join when starting out.

I know of some more. 3DB league was very good when I played in it. IBBL, I believe is an invite only. There is a couple more than that as well.

I'm sure you will get some takers if you start a new league. Good luck on that. I quite enjoy the league play. It's most fun for me on Fumbbl.

We both are actually in the Non-AQ for NCBB. We are just hardcore and want to get another league going.

NWL needs some more coaches. We are at least 3 shy of a solid league using our format (assuming we don't lose any more coaches). We could also take 11 more easily if anybody else is looking for another League.

I think xyon is still the guy to talk to about joining us. We are most of the way through our current season. I would guess we will start the next one sometime after the new year.

Meh? No self respecting Ummm-merican would join a SOCCER based blood bowl league! That sport is for foreigners and red polish commies! XD

CFFL is full and not expanding for season 5, but we do have a waiting list. You usually have to prove your commitment in other leagues and/or get referred to get into the CFFL. The other leagues mentioned are all good.

If you plan to start a league on your own, my advice is absolutely NO non-NA coaches. It sounds harsh, but invariably you end with scheduling difficulties if you allow other time zones, and it is not fair to the majority of coaches. I think many of the other time zone leagues operate the same way.

NCBB is probably your best league right now. they're getting ready for a the next season. After awhile, NBFL when another opening occurs.

If you come up with something creative, you're bound to find get a few people to join you.

If you are considering joining an existing league, you want to make sure you can commit to at least one game per week. I'd also suggest you be available on Saturday & Sunday day & evening for US times. Most of the league games get played on the weekend. This is important, because if you develop a reputation for not playing your games, most established leagues will not accept you.

You're in NCBBL, but here are some other leagues worth looking at:

145 Club & Open League Challenge, both run by Koadah (I know they have a lot of European coaches, but there are plenty Western coaches too & allow single games without scheduling commitment to a tournament)

International League (It has optional International League rounds, or you can just play the National League round vs other US coaches)

Khemri Premier League (Run by Painstate - This looks cool and has a Westerner conference)

NBFL (This is run by Jeffro. You may need to prove yourself first in another established league first, as this league is invitation only I believe)

NWL (Kind of on a down-turn, but a fun established league of Westerners)

Whiskey League (This is a silly place that only accepts drunkards... You probably should avoid this one)

SOCCER? Hmmm...

At least we have 2 times à 45 minutes of gameplay and a standard player runs like 10 km during a game. Not like a break and commercials every 10 seconds! Or so?

And we don't have Budweiser beer, (is it a beer?) Mahh, who cares we dont wear pads and helmets.

And we dont have the NSA ...

btw. km = kilometer

Could certainly be interesting. Having similar issues being here in sunny Melbourne!

Of course if you like watching effeminate boy-men run around you can also watch the gay pride parade.

Considering the scores in most sissykick matches all they probably do is run around like prancing ponies.

LOL @ sissykick.
