All Hail the Power of the Norse
Well, ok my Chaos team was maybe slightly too much for someone who hasn't even played the table top game in 5 years so I have retired them and created a new Norse team!

Already I have taken on a fellow newbie Undead team and gotten my first skill upgrade.

For anyone starting out who is a true newbie (or hasn't played for years) I have to agree with all the guides starting with a team like Chaos isn't a good idea until you have gotten a bit of experience as they have no skills!

If you are prone to frustration over seeing your players utterly destroyed I would be a bit careful with starting out with norse. Although it's ok at low TR levels it's very hard to keep alive at higher levels.

The best "training team" is probably humans. They are diverse. You learn how to position players since you will have some guards, you will learn a passing and running game with your throwers and catchers and you learn how to handle big guys with your ogre. It's not one of the strongest teams in Blood Bowl, but it's good for learning the mechanics.

Yes, Norse have a very high turn-over rate. They are the most fragile of the human-ilk.
