Sometimes fouling the Mino is bad idea.
I played a game some time ago against an opponent who was eager to skill up his mino. His mino blitzed every turn for the first 4 turns of the game. His mino actions were always early in the turn as well. On the fourth turn, he rolled two dice and had to choose a both down. The turnover left his side exposed. I secured the ball and set myself up for a fairly easy score. At this point, I felt like throwing a foul, but I stopped and thought about it. I still had my apothecary so I wasn't too worried about the mino hurting me, and if he kept blitzing with it he would stand a 1 in 9 chance of ending his turn and giving me an advantage. So I fouled a lineman with guard instead.

The plan worked quite well. My opponent kept blitzing with his mino and lost his turn one more time in that game. I was able to score easily again because of it. In turn 5 of the second half, the opportunity to foul the mino presented itself again. I had a 2-0 lead. Being hurt was now a bigger concern than losing, so I foul and sent him off the pitch, but I believe my choice early in the game to not take away my opponents ability to play bad gave me an easier win.
