Starting out...
So, after having FUMBBL bookmarked for a month I finally got around playing the game. I created two teams, an elf team "Reminiscers" and a Lizardmen team "Scales of Faith".

The teams chosen were a simple matter: Those are the two teams I'm deciding between before joining my local Bloodbowl league.

First two days saw plenty of games:

0 Reminiscers - Gostdur Reivers 1
1 Scales of Faith - Bio-Saurus 2
2 Scales of Faith - Gostdur Reivers 0
1 Reminiscers - Gostdur Reivers 2
0 Scales of Faith - Thundah Cats 1
2 Scales of Faith - Thron 2

Reminiscers had seemingly forgotten how deadly Bloodbowl is: three casualties in their first game was harsh.

Scales of Faith fared better. After losing a close game againts Bio-Saurus they met up with Gostdur Reivers with a vengeance: the game was repetition of my first game, this time in my favor. First turn saw three norsemen out of the game for good and only good defensive play from Reivers stopped the touchdown count going higher.

In a rematch againts their slaughterers - the Reivers - fared a lot better than in the last game. After a tight 1-2 loss, however, they found that hiring freebooters wasn't the smartest course of action. Being three players down again they retired - again - from Bloodbowl.

Scales of Faith proceeded to play two games againts two Amazon teams. First game was highly frustrating for the Saurus who failed to dominate the physical game, pushing the jungle women around to no mentionable effect.

In the second game the lizardmen started out strong, but a Saurus losing its will to live seriously hampered their game in the second half. The game ended in a tie when a Skink - in the last turn - decided to play around a bit and handed over interception to the Amazons deep in Amazon side of the pitch. Some dodging, long bomb and Going For It later the Amazons landed an amazing last minute tie.

Becareful of who you play. You played a 163 cr coach with new zons in academy. He wasn't there to give you any advice (anybody would have pointed out throwing with stunty is a big no no) so no idea what his business in acad was/is.

Arent more experienced coaches supposed to be in Academy?
How else are the noobs gonna learn?

By telling them the bad things they do. Otherwise it's exactly the same as playing in ranked. Big difference between winning and giving pointers, and silent and not even answering general chitchat.

Cool to see I got a write up - we'll have to meet in ranked now. The Reivers were doing ok, and I've moved them to League so that I can try out the Club 145 games...you should bring your Scales of Faith over too.

Will definitely do that at some point!
