Yeah it could be bigger, and once it is finished im sure they said they will work on a bigger version. But there is more important stuff to do right now I'm sure. Like getting all the skills implemented and getting rid of the bugs

Actually, this is a good point. I used the large pitch as well, and I also used the beautiful custom large pitches that were designed by the members of FUMBBL (the dungeon pitch was my favourite).
This made my whole game experience much better!
I appreciate that the work involved in making this happen would be masssive, but its worth considering. After all, why sit on what we have? I think pushing forwards and keeping the new FFB client cutting edge would be great!

Properties/Settings/Resolution 1024x768
Seems fine to me

You're not the only one, nor the first to ask for this. But be patient and wait until the game is finished. Then maybe someone will make the cosmetic changes to the client people ask for.

Give me more free stuff now!!!
This has been brought up several times before. It is I believe the intention to do a small pitch and a large pitch, as mentioned in the forums. However as said below, finishing the client is a higher priority.

I'm quite happy with the screen size. I've actually made team logos to specifically fit to the standard pitch in particular ways, and I'm sure they would look wrong on other sizes.
That said, if there are going to be other pitch sizes one of these days (I kinda wish people would back off on the special requests until the game is finished development), the small screen would be a bigger gain than the large one. The large one is a luxury for most, though I know some FUMBBLers have poor vision. The small screen would allow people to play from netbooks with low screen resolution (possibly even tablets? who knows).
For the time being though, I'd just wait for the final skills to be implemented.

Thanks for your comments guys, and I totally agree with you that implementing skills and fixing bugs is more important. And if the rumours are that different sizes will be dealt with later then that's fine, I wasn't aware of this.
As for changing the resolution of the computer itself, like bobsarmy suggests, I don't really like doing that. It just makes it blurry and also when I tried doing this with the new client, the client crashed.
Good to hear I'm not the only one who cares about this :)

I plan on trying to do a complete set large pitch icons at some point when I have time. This will not be quick though. :)

I had the same problem. Only way to resize the field is change the screen resolution.
1024x768 is too small unless you will close command belt, if you will not do that then your chat belt will vanish.
The best resolution is 1280x1024 and then the field will be small enough.

If someone has old PC with 800x600 screen res then he is in deep black hole LOL
