Arithmetics can be scary...
"The greatest shortcoming of the human race is our inability to understand the exponential function"

Dr. Albert A. Bartlett (whoever that is...) talks about "Arithmetic, Population and Energy". I stumbled over this videos by chance (ok, there was a little hint from a friend...) and in the end I couldn't stop myself from watching all 8 parts of it. It may start boring, but after a few minutes i became quite fascinated at how clearly this old professor describes what a steady growth rate means in the not-so-long term. I'm sure that a lot of you, like myself, know exactly what "exponential" means, but being shown some consequences of steady growth this directly makes one think...

Anyway, here are the vid's. Takes about one hour all in all, with a short break somewhere between part 4 & 5

Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4
Part 5
Part 6
Part 7
Part 8
