"The greatest shortcoming of the human race is our inability to understand the exponential function"
Dr. Albert A. Bartlett (whoever that is...) talks about "Arithmetic, Population and Energy". I stumbled over this videos by chance (ok, there was a little hint from a friend...) and in the end I couldn't stop myself from watching all 8 parts of it. It may start boring, but after a few minutes i became quite fascinated at how clearly this old professor describes what a steady growth rate means in the not-so-long term. I'm sure that a lot of you, like myself, know exactly what "exponential" means, but being shown some consequences of steady growth this directly makes one think...
