What do you do with cursed BB coach, what do you do cursed BB coach...
One of, if not THE, most cursed Blood Bowl players ever. Currently on an 8ish loss streak, all of which were total steamrolls. The instant something good happened, the dice made sure to correct it in a most heinous way. Heck, even had the game pick the ONLY skull on a 3-die block for me. No involvement from me, it just decided to seriously injure my guy for me. Should I quit? Absolutely. Will I quit? ...further analysis is required, but probably. I'm a good-natured guy, but the evidence is mounting up and I have no way of disputing it.

It's 5 matches, as you won 1 game in the last 9.

Steamrolled? Just at a glance I can tell that's not the case. Try suffering 9 cas in a game. THAT is steamrolled.

I think the reality you may have to face is that you don't yet understand how to play. You are fingering the dice, but there are no unfair dice. Dice are neutral. You will almost always have some bad results in a game; BB is about situation and risk management.

I can tell already by T2 of your most recent game that you simply haven't grasped this yet.

1. You pick up the ball and run with a -ST player. So any 1 vs 1 block/blitz on your ball carrier will be 2D by his ST3 players.

2. You cage, but you do so in contact with your opponent. He has no trouble pushing it open to get the 2D block outlined in #1.

Both of those were situations of your own making, but then you say you were steamrolled by dice? You don't understand dice yet - that's your problem.

Find the gypsy or leprechaun that cursed you and destroy it, preferably with fire.

Personally I never start a game without sacrificing a goat to Nuffle first and my average dice roll on Fumbbl is 4.1.

I think your problem is probably that you're fairly new to FUMBBL and the learning curve on here is very steep, especially for someone who is also new to Blood Bowl. If you persevere, you will steadily improve and realize that the dice are not loaded against you.

If you ask for help on your blogs/forum threads, I'm sure you'll find many experienced coaches who would be willing to look at some of your games and offer advice (like Chainsaw above).

Welcome to FUMBBL, btw! :)

Welcome to Fumbbl, the learning curve is steep but worth it :D

Check out the Faculty of Academy Instructors here:

They can give you some training and advice.

So what I'm hearing is keep losing until I win? I mean, you aren't wrong, but there are some soul-crushing rolls out there that really shook me.

In response to Chainsaw, I really feel like you're trying to help me, but all it did was come off as "you suck, learn mechanics, gitgud" without actually providing any actual advice. So... thaaaanks? I mean, legit thanks for taking the time to watch my game and comment on it, but, uh, yeah.

As for everyone else, I'll definitely find that goat and look on the forums, but I find that theory falls apart in the face of practice 7 outta 10 times. Is there any actual advice about how to run my game? I know go for best dice rolls, how to cage, calculating tackle zones (sorta, it gets muddled some times), make your no-dice moves first, minimize risk... Basics, I'd guess? Is there some cosmic meta I'm totally missing?

Play some games with a Faculty of Academy Instructor and watch replays of the best coaches of the site (you can sort them by race).
