It seems to me that fewer and fewer want free speech nowadays.

This is even true in the internet communities.
What once promised to be a place where anyone could discuss anything has slowly and steadily been altered to something similar to the way it is viewed in most countries.

In my opinion, the one thing we should keep free is the right for a person to express his or her opinions. However much we disagree or find the comments immature and stupid.

Dont get me wrong, I dont have any wish to express any of the things normally banned. However I do think that it should be allowed.
Rather than creating rules and methods meant to punish the ones who do not follow a norm, Id like to see the community step up and tell the "wrongdoers" that they dont like what they are doing and if they persist, ignore them.
Ive yet to see any form of punishment that has made a situation better.

But then again, this is not my site so my opinion has little value.
