Quest complete!
2009-02-07, My Dark Elf team Aesthetic Umbrae went on a Quest of Atonement: we vowed not to play another elf team as long as an elf team was our most frequent opponent. Two days ago that quest was fulfilled! Jubilation! Orcs are now the most frequent opponent. The final game of the quest was against coach Rijssiej's famous orc team ORC International. To celebrate completion of the quest, we beat them up good. :-)

The quest has been a lot of fun! Thank you to anyone we have played. It took us 59 games to complete. TR is about the same as when we started, in spite of not taking any recovery games. Racial breakdown of our opponents during the quest: Orcs 17, CD 7, Lizards 7, Chaos 6, Dorf 6, Human 4, Others 12.

Our win/loss record on the quest is 32/16/11, nothing spectacular. The last 20 games we went undefeated though, and that is the longest undefeated streak one of my teams has ever managed. Just shows bashers are easy to beat! :-)

I think Umbrae will continue to avoid DE and WE, as we still have played them an awful lot. But we will open up for playing against Pro and High Elves again (if we can find any).

I hope our quest can inspire other elf coaches to do the same. See you on the field!

Now you have to start a quest were you don't play orcs.

Go Aesthetic Umbrae! It's been fun to see the Quest from this side too, as a spectator.
