NOTRE DAME FIGHTING ALLIANCE
Hello sports fans, this is NCBB reporter Livia Deckherr coming to you live from inside the Notre Dame training center. After the recent game w/ Duqueswood things just didn't sit right w/ coach Nightbird AT ALL. He just couldn't understand what had happened to his blocking game & how the elves were hitting so hard. It was then he decided it was time to file a formal complaint w/ the NCBB Special Investigative Department as he suspected foul play!
After performing a thorough investigation, It seems there were numerous violations by the Duqueswood team, says NCBB special investigator Kash Martel. Desperate for a win, the elves have been found to have been using illegal sets of Knuckle Dusters, throughout the game, in order to get the edge, in their lack-luster blocking game, as well as wearing additional illegal magical elven chainmail under their standard uniforms to protect them from the many mighty blows of Notre Dames' hard hitters & greasing up their uni's to make them extra slippery for ND's defenders. In addition to this, investigator Martel also suspects that the Dukes switched out Notre Dames apothecary bag w/ one filled w/ fake poultices that were completely inert, but couldn't find enough evidence to support this claim at the time of reporting.
I'm here w/ coach Nightbird & he's told me that both troll slayer Gotrex Trafton & blocker Quint Knellson, who were both injured due to the violations, have issued formal grudges into each of their personal books of grudges. A sentiment that all the other dwarves, on the team, fully support & have sent for a delegation from each of their respective strongholds. Halfing Gordo Gipper told me he was so angry that he vows to foul beyond the limit next time he sees a Duke elf on the field! He even plans to shove a sticky bun down the throat of each elf he downs & will refuse to leave even if he is caught! As for the human portion of the team, they were in talks to find a wizard or two for their next meeting! They think a few lightning bolts to the heads of some elves would be quite fun to watch! We also caught up w/ Freshman Treeman Moss Brownerbark & he told us that when next he meets the Dukes he vows to improve his speed so he can better squash some more elves! He was very excited to have niggled at least one of them for their transgressions.
Both star player Ivar Erikkson & Puggy Baconbreath, who played for the Alliance vs the Dukes, made statements expressing dismay at the lack of professionalism after hearing about the violations.
So there you have it sports fans, a rivalry has been born & boy I can't wait until next season to see how this one turns out! This has been NCBB reporter Livia Deckherr coming to you live from Notre Dame.
