The joys of hiring logic.
There are two approaches.....
One is "I have the money and therefore you should be prepared for it".
The other is "There is a sizable TS difference, lemme hire a star to make it fair".
Guess which one was practiced above?

Hey guys- it's a shame but 99% of the coaches don't read the rules.
You may call it bad sportsmanship to hire Zara vs a Vamp team that's been equal anyway.
Be that as it may: Ranked is a sissy-division in this aspect.
Hiring is ONLY allowed in the pre-match sequence (which is part of the game). Actually hiring before you arranged a game is illegal (LRB4 p.42). Never send a ticket for hiring too early- still this crap is mere whining. A proof of Ranked being all but the "main competitive division".
Ranked is where whiners and sissies dwell- and by coincidence the tourney-teams training grounds...
