Naming schemes
So lately I have been noticing that I kind of have a naming scheme with most of my recently made teams, I seem to use a lot of Alliteration (Using the same letter over and over at the start of words) And it's even started to annoy me! Does anyone else have naming schemes that you unintentionally use most of the time. because I CAN'T be the only one

I use historical themes, with or without variations on related names.

I tend to fall back on alliteration or titles when I can't think of much else. If I can I find a theme I really like using something like behindthename and use that.

For their last names, I'll combine two words that describes the race or position, though positionals usually get the fancier ones. I think of them as families for each position so if one dies, the brother or sister will join the team - this makes it easier for the high turnover players. Sometimes for linemen their last names are places in the Warhammer world- Besuulth of the Howling Plains for example, or sometimes they don't have last names - Kallax the Cursed or something like that. For first names, there's plenty of name generators, or lore out there.

These days I tend to name my (mostly khemri) players after animals. Alternatively, I open W.B.Yeats complete works at random and name my players after a name+adjective group that pops up.

I give every team a theme or motto and name the players accordingly so that's quite intentional.

If the team has a theme the players are named to fit in for me.

If the team has been made to play an RRR then not as much effort will go in and they end up with names that are not very inspiring. Sometimes I do this just to annoy pythrr. :P

Also, alliteration works for superhero alter egos :D

I use a lot of alliterations as well. So much so, that I just started using a name generator. otherwise, I try to be creative. Usually the first two words that come to my head, where the second word contradicts the first word. Example: Special Nobody, or Healthy Ethiopian, or Generally Sporadic.

My player names are almost always just lists of whatever the team's theme is.

I use the random name generator.

Naming schemes are directly linked to your in game luck... :P
