Writing can be one of the most difficult things to do. Because putting one's opinions, convictions, and thoughts on paper makes them real and concrete for everyone to spoil with their angry eyes. It is even harder for the writer to be able to write something that is really connected to his belief thus the use of symbolism by most of well known writers.

Personally, confronting my own convictions is the hardest part. What if I am not understood, what if I am wrong. With my wrongs exposed for everyone to see, standing out black ink on a blank page. Defiling the purity of the paper.

Writing for me is the next step over talking. When one talks one can be rough and it will eventually forgotten or smoothed upon further telling. Writing is much more lasting, granted it is likely to be lost or destroyed, but it is also much more likely to transcend time with keeping all its original imperfections and wrongs.

I envy all of those that can without having second thoughts write, expose, their minds freely on an ever lasting media like the internet, be they wrong or just simple minded. Bravo.
