Go with the 145 Club. First of you play against other new players, AND there are also veterans who help you get better and Points out the mistaces you do.
Othervise, just keep it up :)

If you play in Blackbox nobody can refuse to play your Norse and Chaos Dwarfs.
I suggest to play Orcs, Dwarfs and Undead, Norse are quite hard if you are new to the game.

Norse having Block to start with and having a couple of ST 4 guys seem like a good place to start, unfortunately their AV being so low makes them a glass canon leaving you outnumbered and on the wrong side of bash fest. As pointed out above Orcs offer a more strong and stable (*ahem* sorry over repeated saying in the UK atm...) foundation to build upon.
145 Club is a great place to come and get games under your belt and many coaches have had a good start there going on to Tournament greatness and Black Box Sprint success.
Keep going regardless of where you play though :) Welcome to jungle!!

If you wanna stick to Norse and CD, make new teams. Start with 3 rerolls. Do not hire the big guys. Do not hire the Norse Thrower. Check out some good players and how they build and skill their teams, and watch some of their replays or spec their matches. Top of the Box rankings are currently sebco, Tricktickler and Spartako for CD, bghandras, Harad and fxiii for Norse. Or read some of the guides in the help section. But mostly, just read this, and live by it:

With gamefinder people only tend to offer you matches that are in their favour, and without experience you may not recognize how unfair some offers are. I suspect this could have something to do with it. In saying that, it did take me about 25 games on fumbbl before getting my first win, and this was just due to learning the game as I went more than anything else. 145 club is a good place to start as you're not likely to learn much from highly advanced players while you're just learning the ropes.

Addendum: If you play Norse in Ranked, you will only get matches from Orcs and Dwarves, and those are horrible match-ups. Throw in the odd Undead, Khemri or Lizard but those are not much better. So for Norse Box is actually easier, at low TV you can get some matches that are actually in your favour.

Well I would say join c145 but been mention but I must say holy molly you got a lot of game I joined 20 days before you and have maybe half your games played lol. The best way to learn is by playing but watching will most likely help you a lot as well try to find a good norse coach and watch them play to try to learn there ways or the basics of what the team does. I spent 2 years before getting the courage to join Fumbbl and I want to say it did help me a little bit. I mean I am not good per say but want to think I am pretty average. Also if you play Black Box its more competive and you will play against good players so it might scare you off a bit but 1-0-55 makes you durable of punishment which is a great thing cause it took me too long for my first lost and it hit hard cause of it. So c145 will help and I also suggest watching games of norse cause there not your typical team. I did play Norse in Black Box so take my advice as you wish on the subject.

I noticed the record when I first played him, and I took it upon myself to offer him some advice. I haven't been able to break down any of his games yet due to my night job but I've offered what general advice I can. The record was 1-0-31 when I started "mentoring" only a few days ago, so he's definitely able to play games, I can assure everyone of that.
From what I've noticed so far there is some habits that need to be reworked. Early GFIs are the most glaring ones I've noticed. The 145 club is a good place to learn though, and I suggest taking as much as you can from it. :)
Am still in your corner though bud, you'll be a coach yet!

Play undead i reckon. good variety of players (learn different aspects of the game) and they are good at lower tv's

yeah, the 145 is a good place to learn and also meet some coaches who are fairly new like yourself. Contrary to the common assumption of ranked being a pickers paradise, myself and others do offer fairer matchups with gimmick teams like all-linemen teams etc. I offer advice in those matches and the 145 too, but good attitude to keep on trying!
