I'd take on a 2RR, 6-vamps team any day.
Orcs get 4 Black Orcs and 4 Blitzers plus 3 RR...

I don't think a draw vs a rookie nurgle team is that much of a success considering he went for all positionals and didn't have any rerolls, but don't let me discourage you

Against such a team, most experience players will do their best to pick off your thralls and allow the vamps to do the rest. 6 Players, 16 turns, you're bound to roll a lot of ones.

it's potentially very powerful, unless the vamps go ham on your thralls. Which will happen at one point or another.
It's like when you play ogre teams. They kinda do fine until that "Duh?" turn where you fail 5 Bonehead checks in a row and your game plan goes down the drain. With vamps this turns add some eating your own players that destroy not only your plan but your team altogether.

Vampires are not good at TV 1000, they need some skills, but if you want to participate to the tournament just to throw dice, mess around and entertain your opponents, go for it, just, don't expect to have a good record with them.

Sheesh people, ease up on the criticism. The guy said right at the beginning:
'This will be the very first one that I have goneto so don't expect to win and just want to have a crazy good time.'

Anyone, experienced or not, playing a six vamp team, and specially a six rookies vamp team deserves all our respect.
May be some pity also... ;)

Well I think he all need to remember the wisdom that Arktoris laid down about vampires.
IF you play with 4 vamps then you have 12 hobgoblins running around with them.
Vamp teams need 6 vamps because it is the only unique thing they got on the roster beside the chewable, bitable, hobgoblins.

I actually pity the diced opponents Croixfer ;)

What's the TV value for the tournament and are you allowed inducements? Or is it just rookie teams?
You may be better off (and have more fun) taking less vamps and Wilhelm Chaney as an inducement if it's possible.

I agree with SporesOfAnarchy
If I were to play a rookie 6 vamp team, I'd completely ignore the vamps and positionally ostracize the thralls to both focus on removal and make BL a true potential turnover as vamps will have nowhere to feast and getting there will be difficult without dodge and re-rolls

Thank you to all of those supporting my mad enterprise. A bit more info on the tournament, it's 1200 no wizards and you get six skills to give out one of which can be a double, each player may only have one skill given to them. There will also be random skills dished out after each round.
I was thinking with this build to get 6 vamps, 8 thralls and 3 rerolls.

If you're playing table top with a timer, six vamps can get hairy with the bite rolls and results eating lots of time.
That would be the only reason not to bring in 6 vamps.
