when fouling was so attractive, i think the game was a lot more blood than bowl actually. now, playing the ball got a little more of the focus so that i consider those two aspects more in balance than ever ...
and the refs just got more professional - arguing doesn't help, only money. just like in real world as well. :-))

"Now" fouling doesn't give you any points? It didn't do so in LRB 4 ... it was only a known and accepted bug of the javabowl client that foul victims there counted against your CAS counts for FF.

Yeah, sure... it's more about scoring than hurting, that's right... I didn't play for maaaaany years... so I must have a look on the manual again.
I think that is more playable now, but i'll miss my near-a-kill-per-match stat in my teams :-P

Just get Claw - Mighty Blow - Piling On on all your players. You can still get a kill-per-match.

@BlizzBirne they might have nerfed fouling but there is more on pitch violence now than in lrb4 just get youe claw po mb team and your chances to hurt are way better than they ever where in lrb4. Not only that but you dont eaven need dubles to build the killer nor worry about aging.

I believe Xeen is true old skool and refers back to the original 3rd edition rules when DP gave +2 to armour and injury, if you rolled 12 for the injury roll (modified of otherwise) the player died and fouling gave spp's like normal cas.
Back then it was far more bloody than any other version of BB and did get a bit silly so most of those changes were needed for league play.

fouling hasnt given spp for about 10 years dude

Xeen... you're so old school, that I am wondering if you know about computers yet!! Go get em brother! I have been playing Blood Bowl since 1988... a fellow old hand! Fouling for SPP FTW!

See, now I think there should be spps for fouling, if only because there's 2 dedicated fouling skills (Not including Chainsaws).

Old school is when you have to roll which skill and mutation you get!
