I've decided to dedicate myself to mastering vampires and pro elves after stints with various teams that don't suit me like chaos dwarves(augh) and undead(yuck) and to some extent necromantic(eh, my apathy is probably inspired more by the string of bad luck I had playing them than anything), and it has been a pretty terrifically obnoxious journey thus far. Pro elves I think I've got down pat, but the creation of a worthwhile vampire team is a monolithic task probably similar to(a 1:1 reenactment, really) trying to build the tower of babel.
It's resulted in many stupendously irritating & hilarious games like this, where I barely manage to squeeze through a game with a handful of players left and a fleeting feeling of elation.

My biggest problem with vampires thus far has been pure attrition, I rarely have more than 7 players on the field by the time the second half starts(though I'm usually able to prevent my opponent from being ahead on the scoreboard during that half) and if the opposing player manages to kick the ball into a place that I can't easily retrieve & pass it in the same turn(or they get perfect defence, or blitz, or anything really) it quickly snowballs and turns into an avalanche of hurt feelings and misplaced trust. Maybe someday, like world hunger, that problem will be solved!
P.S. My overall record is 37/28/28. If you take away all the games I've played vampires, it becomes 29/22/14. Pretty scary, huh? Kinda like one of those anti-drug ads here in the US... "SHE WAS A YOUNG, BRIGHT COACH WITH A PROMISING FUTURE. THEN SHE STARTED PLAYING VAMPIRES..."
P.P.S. This was a really embarassing game and someone might get a kick out of it
