Nagashizzar Nightmares 1 v 0 Grimbonian Giantz

Both teams came into this match seeking there first win of the Summer. Stowelleys Nightmares missing star agility ghoul Gashnag and Bakadons Giantz missing BOB Kilgok. 24,000 fans packed in to the stadium ready to cheer their teams on and hopefully take the lead for their region in the Summer Challenge (thanks Diablange)

Inducements and Rippers younger brother was drafted in along with an Orc with tackling capabilities. Some female greenskin bloodweiser babes tantalising the fans and whats this, the assistant coach looks like a wizard again.

Kick off and the Nightmares receiving.

Well it really was one of those LOS fears


2 Orcs KO'd from the off soon to be followed up by the 3rd KO

Bakadon was furious with Rippers young brother but it looks as though he had locked up into a "comfort moment" blocking out the carnage around him, he just danced and muttered an appropriate song "Stay'n Alive"

Fearing the worst Bakadon called upon the powers of the strange Wizard stood next to him

Blasphemy, as Bakadon turned round to maul the Wizard for that "Airball" he was nowhere to be seen

Fluffy wasn't too impressed with the cheating magic and took his revenge out in style (-AV) on a poor BOB

From worse to even worser. Bakadon was shaking his head fearing for his team. The state of play didnt look good with 4 players already off the field by turn 2

But they fought on (bar the troll) but couldn't stop more fouls and more KO's although Stowelley was seen arguing with the ref before being ejected.

And then in T7 after an amazingly hot first half for Stowelly Ugrox stepped in for 1-0


A slight moment of positivity in the first half (but not from his team) from the Medics and the greenskin ladies wiggling their bodies

Now what could the Giantz unleash with the match back at even numbers. But the wind howled in a blizzard to put pay to the long passing game so the Greenskins kept it short

And as for the LOS for the Greenskins, the cold must have got to them with no cas(but then I forget these arent the mightyblowers yet) but a free hit and a chance to do try better straight away for the 2nd half KO.

BUT then....
The fans took offence and threw an almighty snowball (but thank nuffle for once this match) it was only a stun. I hate that KO result more than blitz, dont mind players hurting me but the fans, well they should be banned!

I thought this was the end and Nuffle knows what will come of this team as the ball landed precisely where I didnt want it

But a good recovery and nice defensive setup allowed some more showboating

Baal Lobba was really making a name for himself this game, all those extra hours of practice paying off.
Some blows were exchanged before the Giantz switched the ball and made a break down the wing which looked very promising for the equaliser.

Some last ditch defense with the wolves frenzying the ball carrier into the crowd but left both Stowelleys Wolfs precariously close to the sidelines which the Giantz couldnt resist after losing the ball

But failure once again........Bakadon looked across to Rippers brother who really did seem troubled

And then the cost of stalling (-AG on star Baal Lobba)

After losing the ball the Giantz had one last push with a 1d blitz smashing over the Wight and leaving the ball next to the TD zone. Could the Orc take the blitz and have a small chance at picking up and getting that equaliser

No badly hurt

And so it finished 1-0 to the Nightmares.

Apart from the first half enjoyed the game and chat with the fellow "dirty HH" coach Stowelley and the scars to my team but thats why we love BB :)

Would normally say all teh best but not till after Summer :)

A bit rough but not enough time in teh days!

On another note, a wizard fireball doesnt hit prone players? only hit (well targeted) 4 in the dice log but not the 5 under the template
