About loosing Games, you can ear me, 1 great specialist about LoosE...:)...
1st) take care to choose solid roster to re begin to win (to my mind ogres is hum hasardous...try an other which would be adapted to your game style...Maybe here is the Key for u)
2nd) do not active box before be really ready : too many "bastards teams" very violent
3rd) In competition game take care to nnot play unbalanced matches (not your amazons vs dorfs for s)
and most important : but you know that : Do have fun, else leave for 1 or 2 days before come back.
regards from a great looser

Losing is awesome as gives you drive and purpose as you learn far more from losing than winning. Losing forces you to evaluate your style of play to make adjustments and improve by fixing what doesn't work.
Short term..... losing sucks but in the long term you improve far more by learning the many hard lessons when you lose and ultimately you will become a better coach.
Or simply stop playing ogres and play undead ;-)

My favourite team is actually Dark Elves...

Thing is: you enjoy playing despite losing?
Posted by Kaiowas on 2022-08-29 11:37:42
With all love for you buddy, you enjoy doing things in games that aren't always best for the result of the game. You have to get enjoyment one way or another and from my time playing in leagues with you, you like the more crazy stuff

Playing tier 1 teams with solid roster composition helps to win.
Dark Elves are weak in this edition, I don't suggest to play them if you want to win. Better to wait for next ruleset.

It is because you don't cherry pick your opponents and you play the teams that you want to play rather than the teams that are strongest. Kia Kaha!

Losing can be expressed as a function of playing. Even the best coaches will lose, but only while they continue to play... and the number of games they lose go up as the number of games goes up. As CroixFer says above, enjoy the games you lose. You're still playing a game, not digging a ditch. Remember that you are providing more challenge to your opponent than the current generation AIs would provide.

I do hope my opponents enjoy me losing :-)

Hire a Filcher and see what you get.

What about playing for the draw, how often is that a priority for you?
Not knowing you and being new to the game, for what it's worth, most of my matches are a sinking ship and I am now very satisfied getting a draw. Particualarly when I can deny my Opp a TD or simply draw cause my OTTD attempt failed (thanks Nuffle!). I am a big believer in "The Grind" meta and a draw kind of breaks that mold, so it feels like a success to me.

According to doclystria, I'm a "tie coach" so, looks like it's a good strategy.

You have much better record than me Ben ;) playing ogres is equally frustrating as fun and in one of my old teams bio it says : "Coach Nohistor was in a pickle: those Orcs wanted their gold back and they wanted it now.
He had tried to convince them that a Blood Bowl team would have worked as a long-term investment, but they turned a deaf ear. “Ogre gits ain’t gud for business” the Boss said. “’Cuz they never win”, added nodding his right hand”.
A ridiculous notion, of course, and yet his Ogre team hadn’t been as successful as he hoped initially. After another loss, the coffers were empty and the players, even the lowest of the snotlings, were refusing to take the field.
Just keep up the good work and never give up ;)

Hire Griff Oberwald whenever you can! :P

Cause Ogres are a bunch of big fat dummies, that's why! ;)
Posted by ben_awesome on 2022-09-01 17:55:19
I like the idea of winning with Griff. Not sure my opponents would though.
Ogres might be big fat dummies, but Zombies are brainless dummies...
