BlackBox Cool Ranked Cool, Rules...
Lets face it. Blackbox is rather cool, because you don't have to wait more than half an hour to get a game. That its filled with dwarfs and other bashing teams just shows how hard it is to get games in Ranked with those teams.

Well.. if there are any problems, it is beacause of the rules of the game. I realise that the rules on fumbbl will stay LRB 4 for any foreseeable future, but still:

Any flaws in any boardgame (or any other game for that mattaer) will be displayed in an online environment. In other words, the winning strategy will become apparent.

In Risk, the winning strategy is getting a continent and then build your army until it reaches a critical mass.
In Bloodbowl (at least LRB 4) fouling with Dirty Player seems to be the winning strategy.

That games can stille be fun even given this just shows that the game still is fairly balanced and that not all coaches play to win at all costs. Whether the winning strategy in LRB 5 is still fouling remains to be tested in an environment as this.

Fouling a certain amount is a stronger strategy than not fouling, equally its a stronger strategy than fouling every turn. The important thing is that there is a balance between fouling and not fouling, a balance which even the top players dont seem to be able to agree on.

Just look at the fouling stats of kfoged, Purplechest, PeteW, Synn, and Plorg. Each one is highly successful and between them they have a massive spread of fouls per game.

I think the bashy, fouly teams just found a home. I might stick with [R]...
