The Mary's Land Terrible Terrapins got a much needed win with a largely dominant 2-1 win against the Ram State Buck-ń-Eyes. while the win does not fully turn around the disastrous start to this season, the performance of the Terrapins should go a long way in silencing coach Lancelott's critics and restore faith that a post season push still is possible.
The game started with much fan fare as the venerable Glotl Stop made his return back to the college of his youth. While many had speculated that Glotl had lost a step and was no longer quick enough to play Blood Bowl, Glotl paid no attend to his critics. This, however, may have been ill advised as the game started with Mary's land kicking the ball to Ram State. Glotl quickly found himself surrounded and while the venerable player once instilled fear in his opponents, it was not true today as the Ram State players quickly knocked him down. It was insult to injury when the Ram's State players 'accidently' stepped on Glotl's knee sending the star player to the sideline mewing in pain.

This seemed to spell doom once again for the Terrapins. That was when freshman Mary Bethesda
(major - Mathematics) threw a critical block that seriously hurt 'The One-eyed Buck' the Ram's State star Ogre. "I just closed my eyes and punched," Mary confessed after the game, "I was surprised as anyone when I saw that the big guy had gone down." This turned out to be the spark that the Terrapins needed as they were able to steal the ball and a touchdown in the first half.
Also notable was when journeymen skink runner, Kevin St. Michaels
(major - undecided) threw a block that surprised and nearly ended the career of the star 'Jasmine "the Tree" Bonsu'. "I was surprised as anyone else," Kevin said after the game. "You see the muscles on that beastman?! I was just trying to get him away from me!" Kevin's play was so inspired that the coaching staff of the Terrapins immediately offered him a position on the team.

While this game was a bright spot in a so far very disappointing season, many have said that this win may have saved coach Lancelott's job. We'll have to see as the season continues, but for now, the Terrapins are riding a wave of confidence.
