Surely there is no debate?
Dice used in a game should be arbitrated by two people - the two coaches who are playing. Other people shouldnt have reason to pass judgement over the dice used if both players are happy. If either of the two coaches do not like any given dice it should be removed from the game. Dice should be shared if desired.

I don't know about them, but the GW-dice are a bit tilted to 1's. At least compared to regular dice. (Yes, there has been a test by a real geek, and can be found on the webs.)
Also, in Sweden we once had a live show for a lot of winnings, that included die-rolling. Funny thing was that these dice were so biased, casinos all over the world would reject them. It was a government sponsored show.
Still, I don't know about the Impact Dice, but I wouldn't be surprised.
Also, if both players use the same dice, there really shouldn't be any problem.

Forgot to mention, I dont think I have ever heard of the impact dice being poorly balanced. 99% of the complaints about them are that they are shockingly tricky to understand, let alone read across the table.

Well, of course they aren't balanced ! It's one of the flaws of this game, the RNG is broken. It's true, last time I started turn seven and rolled quad skulls, surely that shows something ! It's sad that Impact! won't release a patch soon that clears this bug however - they know but they don't care ... i's a conspirocy.
(Somebody had to say it ! :D )

To add another thing to the debate, I would guess they are imbalanced. Regular dice are easier to balance, since they have 7 dots on opposite sides.
One can only guess how to balance two skulls and an exclamationmark...
I would guess they would be deemed inaccurate if put to a test.

Greens are never balanced - they always favor nature :)

I dealt casino craps from 97'-01' and can tell you that Col. Lou knows his shit! If your dice don't feel like they can almost cut you, they are no good! Sharp edges are the key, just as Lou says. Col. Lou rocks! Thanks for that link RC, I really enjoyed watching Col. Lou, wish his game store was near me! I'll be ordering from him soon as I'm working at getting a TT street ball league going in my area & of course we HAVE to have his dices, none compare. It's sad to think how much quality is sacrificed for the almighty dollar. I know in some cases it's not that big a deal, but w/ things that need to be precision made it's very apparent.

I refuse to play against them in our TT league because I have seen some ridiculous runs.
I think that ideally both coaches use the same dice and they should be agreed on by boath coaches. I dont like coaches who turn up with "special" dice that they wont share. IT makes me nervous and cynical when they get early cas and things like that.
