No, I'm not talking about that once in a lifetime opportunity to shove your nefarious uber villain arch nemesis' legendary mummy into the rabid fans along the sidelines but rather the big push for 1 million games by the end of the year.
At the current check we stand at 18,758 games to go to hit the mark... as I see it, we have 21 days left after today. That works out to an average of 894 (rounding up!) games per day.
Can we do it? You'd bloody well better believe it!!!
Let me go off on a tangent for a moment anyway, seeing as this is my first blog entry aswell I'm going to take the time to waffle at any of you poor souls unfortunate enough to have ventured this far and those that dare to keep reading in the face of outright boredom.
I've only been registered at fumbbl since the 1st of jan this year, I wont flap about and say I've got plenty of bloodbowl experience, truth is I played bloodbowl for the first time some time around the early 90s, it was the version with the foam board and hilariously ugly human and orc players. My friends and I eventually progressed into the newer version when it was released and we played a few games here and there, all agreeing that it was great fun. Time went by, games where forgotten and hormones and beer came into the equation. Long story short, a bunch of us enjoyed bloodbowl, enjoyed beer more then decided they enjoyed bloodbowl more and found a site that accomodated their bloodbowl needs without having to trudge around to a friends house in the freezing rain.
So anyway, back to that 1 million mark... what can we all do? Given that a bunch of those remaining days are going to be taken up with family things / christmas things we're going to have to pull something special out of the bag to hit that 1 million...
Let's get bloody playing!!!
p.s. aware of the fact that I'm potentially going to line myself up for 'hyprocrit' status, I'm going to point out that I'm trying to play as many games as I can given that I have a fair amount of personal crap and work to deal with at the moment ;)
p.p.s I'm crap at this blogging lark, my thoughts wander with ease and I try to re-read what I've written and realise that often it comes across as nothing more than directionless rambling from a late 20 something male and would probably be of little interest to anyone but the author... if you got this far, give yourself a cookie and a pat on the back :)
