University life took its toll, eating up all the in the last week.
I jumped straight to a game, forgetting any plans I had for the team, just to get another game going. I grimaced quite quickly realising I'm running with one niggler, but thankfully full 11 players.
Games played:
1 Gloryseekers - LRB5-Random Events Deck 0
The evenings only game was againts a Chaos team. One warrior, lots of beastmen. The first half I chose to kick as usual, and proceeded to defend. The defense went surprisingly well, and I didn't have much trouble keeping the first half tied. Only remarkable happenings were three 1's rolled to "sure" dodges and one of the beastmen getting his hands smashed for a niggling injury.
Second half started very well for me: kick-off resulted with one of the side-most beastmen getting stunned by a rock thrown from the audience, giving me free lane towards the goal. After some un-elfy good blocks I had equally un-elfy failure to pick up the ball by my thrower, Farash. However, the delay didn't matter much and I soon scored.
I was quite comfortable with lead of only one goal, doubting that I'd get the ball back too easily. My comfort was quickly shattered by the sudden death of Landor Carmine, one of the blitzer brothers. The rest of the match was desperate defense againts ever forward moving Chaos team while trying to keep enough elves conscious to last the remaining rounds. To my relief only things passing lines were my elves getting thrown into the audience, who mercifully only knocked them out.
