This time I went with
Necro and
Vamps, for the Vampire/Werewolf theme, so I'll be able to get a season of targeted MVPs on teams that may struggle to get built in bb2020, to learn 2 teams I hadn't played before, and ones that others won't want to play in a 15 game season to try and get "best" (of which I currently have both toting a 26.5 score and 7th!)
Necro was able to pick up MB on the wolves early, and Attack of the Furries! also got Ag and St! Some good regen rolls kept my Doggos around to go 13-1-1! I barely drew with Dorfs early because I didn't know how to play the match up but made a long pass at the end, and lost a mirror because his wolves worked and mine didn't.
Vamps had some rough thrall losses at times but the team was able to get by. Early +Ag (and a late one!) and some strong dice let me pull off some dirty plays to get me to 6-4-1, before my luck finally ran out to go 7-4-4. Surprisingly the biggest Vamp change I'm concerned about in bb2020 is actually that I won't be able to rely on passing to scrape by on offence :/
Was a ton of fun again, and glad I could improve on my Norse/Khemri score last season with an arguably weaker squad for a 15 game season. I also temporarily hit 170CR after an 8 game winning streak which was neat. I might start another in a couple days (Lizards and Ogres for MVP targeting) but more interested in having a go at a normal length season. Good way to cap off a not so good 2020 :D
