Overview

Hello, and welcome to the /tg/ FUMBBL League, the official FUMBBL league of 4chan's traditional games board. Our headquarters may be at https://boards.4chan.org/tg/, but the coaches of this league will welcome anyone who wants to participate (although it is recommended that you go to /tg/ for news and other things like that related to this league).

Rules



League Information

In the /tg/ FUMBBL League, there are two divisions, which consist of the Veterans League and the Rookies League. Only new teams can enter the Rookies, whilst any team can enter the Veterans.

In the regular season, both the Veterans and the Rookies will consist of a 6-round Swiss league. 2 points are awarded for a win, 1 point for a draw, and 0 points for a loss.

Each round will last for a week, beginning automatically once every match in the previous round has been completed. You will be allocated an opponent you have not played before, with the closest record to your own. It is up to both you and your opponent to work out a time to play over PM, and to use the Scheduler to propose and accept this time so it appears on the "Upcoming Matches" page.

Once the regular season ends, the top 8 teams in each league will enter separate play-off Finals to determine their Champion. Seeded according to their regular season position, the 1st seeded team will play against the 8th seeded team, the 2nd against the 7th, the 3rd against the 6th, and the 4th against the 5th.

Once the Finals end, the team that wins the Championship gets the /tg/ Gold Trophy, the team that lost in the final gets the /tg/ Silver Trophy, and the two teams that lost in the semi-finals get the /tg/ Bronze Trophy.

Meanwhile, the team that wins the Rookie Championship gets the /tg/ Gold Rookie Trophy, the team that lost in the final gets the /tg/ Silver Rookie Trophy, and the two teams that lost in the semi-finals get the /tg/ Bronze Rookie Trophy.

Finally, the team that finishes 1st place in the Veterans regular season gets the /tg/ League Leader Shield, and the team that was 1st place in the Rookies gets the /tg/ Rookie Leader Shield.

League Rules

Teams in the /tg/ FUMBBL League are not allowed to play against any non-/tg/ FUMBBL League team, nor are they allowed to play any non-scheduled matches.

Prizes like potions that are obtained by FUMBBL from outside the league are prohibited from use within this league.

Don't sign up if you can't commit to playing one match a week for six weeks.

Coaches have a week from the start of the round to complete their matches; if it is clear one coach has made efforts to be available whilst the other has barely responded, they will be awarded the win.
Unfortunately, you don't get any money or SPP for this type of forfeit because FUMBBL is weird like that.

Please use the Scheduler to arrange matches, as when both coaches have "accepted" a time it appears on the Upcoming Matches page.

Please don't use the Concession feature. We want coaches to finish their games even when everything goes south for your team. If an emergency comes up and you have to leave, please notify your opponent before leaving, then schedule another time to finish the game after your emergency.

In extraordinary circumstances, a coach may be given a couple of extra days to complete a fixture, please PM Pizzapocalypse if this is the case.

Sportsmanship

The vast majority of coaches in the /tg/ FUMBBL League are friendly and sportsmanlike. Unfortunately however, after a small number of incidents, rules are now required regarding coaches' behavior in games.

Unsportsmanlike actions include, but are not limited to:

Discussing or agreeing on in-game events.
This includes agreeing on not fouling or behavior that implies an agreement such as clicking end turn for a significant part of the game.

Arranging games, i.e. playing to lose or draw.
This includes deliberately not attempting to win a match to avoid playing higher ranked teams in the future.

"SPP Farming"
This is where coaches allow each other to score extra touchdowns or other SPP generating events.

Entering a weak team, or deliberately weakening a team if it is doing poorly.

Deliberately not playing a match to hold up the league.

Attempting to use multiple accounts.

As a guide, any misconduct listed in the FUMBBL Rules is not permitted. Also, offensive team/player names will not be permitted as I don't want to have the league being held up due to someone's team getting reported.

Please report any suspected behavior by PM to Pizzapocalypse.

Failure to meet these standards will result in a coach and all of his teams being removed from the group.

As with anything, the commissioner Pizzapocalypse's decision is final.

How to Join the League

First, submit only one (1) fresh [L] team to the /tg/ FUMBBL League at this link (The team that you submit can be a Simyin team). Next, click this link. This opens up a PM to Pizza where you need to describe your desire to participate, what team you are using, and which league you want to join. When you typed that in, send it. Finally wait for me to approve your request for membership.

Exhausted Teams

Blood Bowl is not a gentle sport. Even the most experienced stars require time for their bodies to recover, their tentacles to regenerate, and their wounded egos to heal.

After a team has participated in either division of the /tg/ FUMBBL League for 3 seasons, consecutive or not, they are considered an Exhausted Team.

On becoming an Exhausted team, they must instantly take a season's break from the League. If a coach wishes for this team to return to the League after this break, for every season played, they must take a break in the next season.

Exhausted teams cannot "bank" breaks, for example taking two seasons out would not mean a team could play return to play for two consecutive seasons.

(Note: Teams that had played 3 or more seasons before this rule was introduced for /tg/ FUMBBL League Season V are considered Exhausted, and will miss that season)

How He Was Lost



He was murdered by a Turn 2 Push/Pow blitz from diamond after a Turn 1 Bonehead in this game, within the harsh cold of the blizzard. When this occurred, Tooby, the anon who shipped Poundinator with Sky Singer Sora-sama~!, the rest of the /tg/ FUMBBL League, and the heavens mourned. Unfortunately, the tears from all crying broke the server, which broke the replay and forced Christer from his vodka to go fix the server.

It is said that on that day, the clouds aligned miraculously, and the message "Lizards are a balanced and reasonable team" could be read from them. Also, someone linked this song in the thread to mourn for the fallen Werewolf whose death meant the end of One Night Rack as we know it. If only the poor wolf had Dodge, he could still be here. But alas, he left in the arms of Winter and he was carried far away.

20/11/2015 - 23/7/2016 (21 Games[70 SPP])

The Poundinator passed away during the Season 4-Round 5 game of One Night Rack v hither slither. He was taken from us before his time by a blitz from Kroxigor diamond. He is survived by fellow werewolf The Warmongrel and chief rival Cowboy Tanktop. With 18 CAS in his 21 games, and multiple TDs in ONR's Finals win over AC, The Poundinator has earned the first spot of the Hall of Fame. He died as he lived, fighting against the lizard overlords.

How He Was Lost

Okay, fine. Here's the longer explanation:

One day, in the Rookie league of Season IV was a crustacean. This particular crustacean screeched quite a lot because he was rather pissed off at the incompetence of the commissioner HauledByTheHikers. During Round 6 of Season IV, he was set to play against some other guy whose name I believe was Kurume (although I may be misremembering it). Anyway, the crustacean asked Kurume to SPP farm with him in order to see if Hauled will do something about it. Kurume accepted, and Hauled actually did something, much to everyone's surprise.

The condition to get unbanned was that the old teams of the crustacean and Kurume were banned, which meant Animeted Clothing would no longer be able to play (and by play, I mean spread their disgusting bodies all over the Records page even more than they did originally). The end.

Description
One of the OG teams from Season I, this gang of nigh-unstoppable and overly lucky lizards are the reason why anons complain that lizards are OP.

With tiebreaker scores that are completely insane and a jaw-dropping record of 28/3/4 as of after Season VII, everyone wanted this team banned for being so damn good at the game. The only real blemish to this team's success was in Season II, where they lost in the semifinals to their former rivals One Night Rack, who had quit after Season IV due to losing their beloved wolf The Poundinator. Since then, their closest thing to a rival was the Snorkland Soulless, who was the 2nd team to reach 2000TV after the Quickslithers themselves did.

How does one team manage to accomplish so much? According to some of those in the /tg/ FUMBBL League, the answer was simple: "Just roll 6s". While other teams in other leagues have been doing that as well, these reptiles have mastered the art of rolling 6s, with the team being very infamous for their skills at a rare tactic known as saurusball, where the Saurus manage to succeed 5+ rolls to pick up the ball disturbingly often.

Due to this team dominating the league whenever they show up, the commissioner MauledByTheTigers has unofficially claimed that he was going to do something about the lizards, saying something about how "nuffle will sort him out" and "Welcome to the Age of Nuffle". What he means is unclear, and it is doubtful that he will actually do something until Pizzapocalypse yells at him/threatens to make his own league again.

Did you know?
Did you know that Tadah of the Snorkland Soulless inflicted 2 (almost 3) deaths by fouling in the 4th round of Season IV against the Red Fang Rockets?

In that game, she managed to kill Zoggit on the first turn (before it got apo'd into an MNG) before crushing Snappaklaw's neck under her boot on the third turn. She eventually kills and infects Rukrippa with Nurgle's Rot on the fifth turn of the game. She then spent the rest of the game fouling, with a KO inflicted to Gutshredda and a -MA injury inflicted to Gazbag among them.
Did you know?
Did you know that back in Season I, 15 of the 18 touchdowns scored by the Quickslithers were scored by Sauruses?

In that season, the only Saurus that did not score that season was Sag'Churok, while even the team Kroxigor Ol' Scaly scored one, because apparently 5+ rolls are either a cakewalk for Tendril, or lizards are OP like all the anons in the threads claim. The only Skinks who scored that season were Speedy and Boots.
Did you know?
Did you know that Chocolate of the Cheesecake Chargers did the controversial "sudoku" play at the beginning of the 6th round of Season IV against the Heckhounds?

In that game, Cheesecake Chargers coach McBobson spiked the ball before getting the Blitz event. Chocolate moved to the square north of where the ball was going to land, only for it to bounce north and stab her as she fails to catch it, inflicting a Badly Hurt on her and removing her from a game that ended in a 3-1 loss.

Did you know a Minotaur by the name of Bloody Rhorrh managed to save the Kronigsson Co. Kriegsherrs from being shut out in the 4th round of Season III against the Emo Demolition Squad?

His heroics all started in the end of the 4th turn in the 2nd half, where teammate Hans "Half-heart" Schaub tripped while dodging and dropped the ball into Rhorrh's arms. From there, the Minotaur used the Juggernaut ability to push his way out of the grip of the Dark Elves to score on the 6th turn of the 2nd half. While it wasn't enough to win the game, at least they lost 2-1 instead of 2-0.

Did you know that the first win for an Ogre team took place in the 4th round of Season IV, where the Chumps of War bested the Cheesecake Chargers 3 to 1?

Highlights from this game include Pigeon intercepting a pass to Raspberry from Sampler in Turn 6th of the 1st half and a One Turn Touchdown shortly afterwards by the Chumps.

The Chumps of War then moved on to win their next game against the Heckhounds and the game after that against Papa Nurgle's Adoption Co for a record of 3/0/3, making up for their 3 losses earlier in the season. They are also the first Ogre team to play a complete season.

Did you know that Maximum Marvelous Maiden managed to pull off a desperate 4-man (later 3-man, but 2 Vampires did almost all the work in scoring 1 point) touchdown in the 4th round of Season III against a almost-full team of Skaven called Amorican Psycho?

It started in the 2nd half of that game with only 4 players left for MMM as Crazy Crescent Chiyo-chan~! catches the ball during the kickoff. After the team gets surrounded by Skaven, Sky Singer Sora-sama~ blitzes out of the stranglehold and runs down the field with Chiyo-chan behind her. MMM Thrall Yasui gets KO'd after that by Paul Denton as David Van Patten wrestles down Chiyo-chan, only for her to get back up and pass the ball to Sora-sama after the latter gets to within scoring range. A failed blitz from Hakflem Skuttlespike allowed Sora-sama to make two dodges to score the only touchdown that MMM got in their 2-1 loss. As for the 4th man, Anzai mostly kept one or two Skaven marked the whole time.

Did you know Chimpan-Z-Spread of Monkey Business Inc managed to accomplish the world's most short-lived interception?

It happened near the end of the 1st round of Season V, when Chimpan-Z-Spread tried to take down Emo Demolition Squad's Runner named Dexter. Dexter tried dumping the ball off to his teammate Biff, but the chimp managed to intercept the pass, only to roll Both Down and Skull on his block. Naturally, he chose to wrestle the elf down, causing a turnover. Biff ran with the ball afterwards but was unable to score with it, which caused the game to end in a 1-1 tie.

Did you know that a last-ditch attempt to spite Just Elf My League Up in this match by Claw and Chord player Dickifrit Barret turned out to be his last mistake in the /tg/ FUMBBL League?

His mistake occurred in the final turn of Round 2 of Season VI, where a vanity pass was done near the stunned body of High Elf Catcher Nevor Aumorbraek. After that pass, Dickifrit gets up to run north to foul the Catcher, only to fail a Go For It next to Nevor, which caused Dickifrit to promptly fall down and die. The nearby Star Player named Hubris Rakarth could have done it instead due to Jump Up and having more than enough MA to reach Nevor, but Dickifrit died instead. At least he was a rookie lineman, so he really won't be missed too much.

Did you know that a failed dodge in an attempt at a vanity pass turned what would have been a loss into a tie?

In Round 2 of Season VII, the 13,5 elfen in Zamonien were beating the Kangz 1-0 at the 8th turn of the 2nd half, when Fredda attempts a Pass Action to get the ball down the field. After two successful dodges, he fails the third one that was a 4+ dodge onto where the ball was, causing it to scatter west into the hands of Beesay Inwewuz II. However, ball-handling was not his specialty, and the ball scattered west again, this time into the hands of Julius Caesar, who somehow manages to catch the ball with a 6. He then sprints to the end zone after easily clearing two GFIs to tie the game at 1-1.
