As it was the Dark Elves had to struggle against several failed pick-ups and a hasty burning of RRs in the 1st half where the Wolverines managed to get the ball from the Nightmares after some initial field-control fighting. A daring dodge+blitz action almost managed to save the day for the Nightmares but just almost as they defied Nuffles earlier trouncing by attempting to make a -2d block 2-step crowdpush against the blockless ballcarrier - it was however halted as the 1st result was a double POW, after the WE managed som fine dodging. Nuffle works in mysterious ways...

A sidestep from the downed Witch in the following turn however meant that there was still hope for the Darkies when the ball went to the crowd;
who were obviously pro-Wolverine as the ball was thrown within easy reach of the young, talented blitzer, Nikolai Bentz.

2nd half wasn't much better. Despite 2 Perfect defences (which were hard to put to full use due to attrition) and a very nice TD luck was mainly on the human side and there was little the Nightmares could do after their 1-2 score to stop the humans from taking the win.
