Yes, you read right. Game number 86 on FUMBBL. I don't play these guys nearly enough.
The Fire and the Cordials go back just as far, starting with <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&op=view&id=992">my second match</a> on the 'new' FUMBBL. It's been a long and sordid tale between these two giants, but Moxy and the Fire are still on top, 3-2-2, I believe.
This time, the Fire took a quick, commanding lead by shrugging off my Blitz! to start the game and stealing the ball away on my first drive. Fortunately, Moxy scored quickly enough to allow me to sneak in a TD to end the half down 2-1.
I received in the second half and we swapped points until it was 3-3. Moxy's final drive was stalled a bit initially thanks to a Perfect Defense, but eventually he broke through with his Dump Off catcher in the middle of 4 men in scoring position. Things were looking grim, but I blitzed the catcher who fumbled and managed to scoop up the ball and get into the safest position I could find. Unfortunately, it wasn't quite safe enough with 2 wardancers running around and he managed to sneak in a 4th TD to end the game.
Thanks again for yet another brilliant match, Moxy. I'll look forward to my chance to tie the series up, as always.”

As always the Cordials played with git and style. These two in combination with the head coaches grasp of tactics would of been enough if not for the good fortunes of nuffle who were smiling on the Fire this day.
