The Rovers were somewhat over-confident as they took to the field, and were struck by an early blitz that left two of their number in the injury box, one of whom (Bajo Calima) was dead on arrival. All this before normal time had even begun.

Things then went from bad to worse. After 10 turns there had been 6 casualties, including the tragic death of promising thrower Ara Cruz. The Twilights were rampant, controlling the field and the ball, and the Rovers forgot their training ground drills as balls were dropped and players fell over continually. Even the surest of moves were ruined by poor luck. Frankly, we were tonked. To add insult to injury, Makokou's reward for a fine game was to gain another niggling injury.

With a greatly reduced team rating, the Rovers skulked off the field of play to bury their dead and prepare for a come-back in the near future. The fans showed their discontent by contributing only 10k to the gate.
