“The well ogranized and hard hitting Afterlife Cardinals proved too tough for the Gothenburg Gangstas, and despite an early TD the opponents just grinded us down.
I hate playing dwarves to begin with, and it wasn't made better by them taking their time to injure as many of my players as possible while making condescending comments in the chat window.
It quickly turned out to be a spiteful and rather unpleasant match, as traditional when teams from Gothenburg and Stockholm face each other.
The Afterlife Cardinals controlled the 2nd half completly, and surrounded what was left of the Gangstas and pummeled them while pocketing their Bull Centaur in a safe corner by my end zone. Despite that it was obvious that the Cardinals would win the match they often went in for fouls on the downed blitzers. That the Gangstas escaped with just one serious injury was very fortunate.
Although Fejd made himself out to be a far more experienced coach, he made one rookie mistake. Playing dirty and provokingly against a penal team is not a good idea.
Shanks made sure to teach him that lesson with a good luck message prison style, stomping the knee of a downed linesman and crippling the Cardinals chances of going far in the tournament.
What goes around comes around and although I generally hate playing dirty I must admit that my succesful retaliation was so well timed and deserved that it feels like I won the match.”
