“The match between the Gothenburg Gangstas and the Caledorian Thistle had the perfect dramatic set up. On one side a group of skilled, blue blooded high elf nobles and on the other a group of savage penal team players.
Being outskilled the Gangstas had to rely on the only thing they know really well. Busting skulls and playing dirty. The Caledorians scored an early TD, but it was obvious early on that they took a lot more punches, and in the end this wore them down.
The Gangstas fouled a lot in the first half (had the ref), but the casualties came from honest blocks. Long Arm, the Caledorian star player, would have been a fatality if it wasn't for their fantastic medic, but they couldn't escape the reaper this day. Instead Prince Hyfryd got killed during an attempted block. Out of all the ruffians in the Gangstas the catcher Cups was perhaps not the most likely choice, but now the street hustler can add murder to his rep sheet.
In the 2nd half the Gangstas had some good luck for a while and managed to tie the match. After this the brutal heat from the sun seemed to take it's toll, since both sides started making a lot of fumbles.
The star of the match was Shanks, who scored 2 casualties, 1 TD and got elected MVP, landing him a nice 12 SPP count.
Thanks for the match, Grizzle, and sorry about the RIP.”
Prince Hyfryd decided that the best way out of a hole was a blitz - 1 die with a team re-roll if necessary. Skull followed by a re-rolled skull was bad, but following that with a failed armour roll and double 6 for an RIP was somewhat shocking.
Unfortunately for the Thistle, the medic had already been used to bring their star player back from the dead, and so Prince Hyfryd joined the ranks of the teams past players.
Despite the shocking dice that lead to his death, at least he was just a rookie lineman with no skill! some small slice of fortune then!
A good game and a fair result all in all ”
