“The Cheerful Deads maintain a steady fan base despite their lack of talent. Today even they were surprised that people didn't walk out though.

The match didn't start well. Recruitment Rob niggled out leaving the team without dp's and the skaven had bribed the ref. The Deads didn't help themselves by playing at their worst either. The opponents scored an early TD, which left the Cheerful Deads plenty of time to tie the match. But oh how they failed. Rodney Ratbreah, the only playing with even remote ball handling skills, knocked himself out on one of extremly many failed sprint attempts and didn't come back until late in the second half. With him gone the other ghouls showed just how bad they were by fumbling worse with the ball than a dirty man with only one testicle. (4 first pick-up attempts failed). This gave the skaven the oppurtunity to snatch up the ball and run in 2 - 0.

On the next kickoff a carpet of rats broke through the fences and swept down half the Deads. (pitch invasion 5 undead down, 0 skaven). The Rat-A-Tat-Rat's were maybe halted by sympathy because they discarded some great chances at fouling. The Deads got to their feet and had a decent chance to score, but some amazing dodges by the seemingly unskilled linemen prevented them from reducing the score.

The half ended with 2 - 0 to the opponents and very lousy play. The Cheerful Deads did what they could and after the break the ref was nowhere to be found. Instead a replacement with a wooden leg and a pirate patch was brought in. (Cheerful Deads won the ref)

Not sharing the skavens sympathy they did their best at clearing the rats out. They gangfouled low armored skaven just about every turn, but with nothing more than stuns to show for it. The only player that performed was Master Scurvey, who scored 3 casualties. This naturally won him the MVP.

The second half was not more succesful than the first, although the Deads often looked like they had good positions to score. But amazing dodges and an unnatural durability amongst the skaven ruined their game plan. The skaven managed to score another TD on yet another of the undead mistakes and the match was lost.
