These elves gave as good as they got, and then some! Game opens with an elven blitz, BH agi5 gutter, while I can't knock anybody over myself, 1-0 elves after a single turn of play. Fine, line up again, our SV gets the ball and is racing for paydirt, only to fail his gfi, ball goes into crowd and back to elves, and it's now 2-0 after three turns of play.

Third kickoff we got the ref, and shamelessly used it rest of the half, hoping to reduce the elven numbers enough to mount a comeback. It sorta worked--we took out his tree, one WD and several linos, but the one player I needed gone had secret ironman underwear on. Because it was his tackle WD, given knuckledusters to start the match, who caused cas after ko after cas, removing all my hitting power (and my only tackle, thank you failed apo).

In a game decided not by luck but by cas-dice, who'd've thought a team with no DP and 2 MB players would out-cas a claw/rsc multi-DP team? I thought Padde was crazy to accept my half-hearted game offer (it was after midnight when I made the offer, only b/c my baby girl was crying and I had to sit up with her), but the elves got the win, out-bashed my rats, and only a niggled 1-skill lino to show for it. Nuffle appreciates the underdog, and the elves earned their victory, the first defeat in this rat team's history. Much respect to Padde, who likely will never accept another offer from me, but who I now respect quite a bit for playing ability and attitude.

#5 Gonil Highleap – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#5 Gonil Highleap – Smashed Knee (NI)
This was "The Lazers" worst nightmare coming true, facing two dirty players and GetTheRef. On top of that a really nasty gutter with all the right skills that a killing-machine should have!
But the Lazers stood thier ground and repeatedly snatched the ball from the clumsy foul-playing skaven players! This was a nasty game but the Lazers returned the fouls with incredible hard-hitting elves led by Wardancer Superpugge in the front line.
With the rats chasing easy CAS on extreme-foulplay and trying to bash my team apart, this was a really proud moment! Sometimes the thin WE-guys actually wins these kind of games!
Nice to hear that this brought with it some respect! The respect is mutual although I never like the foulplaying ways!
