Odin's Nomads did very well to bring this match to OT, as they were clearly outmatched from the start. Coach Mr_Prezident used his resources to good effect.
Team Dukkha* received first, and maneuvered upfield to score. But some bad placing allowed a 1d blitz on the ball carrier in T7 and we were not able to recover in T8, so it was 0-0 at half-time. Team Dukkha had a clear advantage and should have scored, it was simply bad coaching. Coach MadTias came to a deeper understanding of dukkha.
The Nomads went for a quick score in the 2nd half, and had the ball by the Dorf end zone in T3. But the lone carrier was blitzed down, which caused a scramble for the ball. Team Dukkha had the numerical advantage but failed to exploit it, allowing the Nomads to recover the ball and score 0-1 in T5. It was bad coaching again and coach MadTias learned more about the nature of dukkha.
The next kick-off result was a very important injury time, allowing team Dukkha four turns to score the equalizer. By this time, there were only seven Norse players left and they could not get in the way of the 1-1 score in any real sense.
On to OT, where the Nomads got to receive. But now there was only six of them left. The kick-off was a perfect defense and all that the Norse could do after that was to punt the ball as far away as possible. There was too much time left however, and team Dukkha could easily move in the winning 2-1 in T8. So in the end coach Mr_Prezident also came to a deeper understanding of dukkha.
GG Mr_Prezident, see you around.
