A scrum developed and Chet Chasepebble emerged with the ball and headed downfield with dreams of Megastarhood! He planned to blitz one marker and dodge the other, normally a routine play for him, but unfortunately his bad knee misgave him, and Shirley, sensing weakness, followed up with a devestating boot to the knee that took Chet out of the game for good.

Phin, rallying, delivered a key block which scattered the ball into the hands of Bart Ironwill, who withstood 3 blocks only to find himself cornered against the sidelines. But he blitzed and dodged his way free, coming to the goal line itself before tripping and the fans roared their displeasure. The Razorchains returned the ball for a TD, sending 3 more Riders off pitch in the process. 1-0 at halftime.

It was good times in the Riders dugout as Phin, Jerg, and Raz, nominally KO'd, elected to stay there for some additional beer. Frustrated, the Riders coach had the ref replaced with one of the teams fans, who promptly showed his loyalty be sending off the two Razorchains DP's. This was insufficient however, and despite some valiant desperation blocks the Riders were unable to prevent a second Razorchains TD. Final score, 2-0.
