“Well my plan has been for me to give a few notes to the coaches i play in accademy tp hopefully help them see what steps they can take towards inmproving.
Unfortunately this is really difficult to do for this game because the dice really were genuinely bad for my opponent and great for me so it makes it very tough to offer constructive advice.
A few minor pointers anyway:
For any team you want to last long term go for a high fanfactor to start with (you know this already... you told me that the 6 you started with was too low)
Its often best to get as many re-rolls as you can when you create the team even if this means taking less of the good positional players to start with and taking more linemen.
It will help with your short term/ medium term team developement. a lot this way.
If you arnt planning on hitting the players i put on my Line Of Scrimage then try to put as few players in contact with them as possible. This way you have less dodges to make and less players for me to hit in my turn.
Some general elf advice ( you may already knwo all this.... the way the dice were in that game i have no way of knowing):
Play minimal contact.
Never put a player next to one of my players if hed do just as good a job standing one square away but blocking access to the ball/ likely reciever
2+'s will go wrong at the worst possible time.
Assume your first dice roll will fail every turn and move the players who require no rolls first to the positions were you want them to be if all goes well OR where you need them to be if all goes wrong
Flood my half with your players (preferably protecting them with "minimal contact") and keeo the ball on your thrower but have him out of range of my team. Make it almost imposible for me to be sure who you want to pass to in your following turn. If i can only blitz one and try and put a tacklezone on each of the others it'll be hard for me to stop you scoring (the more skills your throwers get here the better it works)
Watch other experiened coaches play. Play them as often as you can and watch what they do.
I hope some of this may be usefull. As i said you didnt play badly in anyway. The dice were just horrendous throughout. You had a fun attitude to the gae and i hope we can play again sometime D:”
