“In what will go down as the hottest day in Bilge football history, a record setting 62,000 fans showed up to the Boozers opener. The most for a boozer opener in the franchises short history, thanks in part to the recent additions of large beer coolers to the stadium. While the fans sought refuge from the heat on the concoarse, the Boozers prepared to recive the opening kick off when the winds change, and if you believe me it got hotter setting the all time heat record for the region at 124 degrees f.
The opening drive saw pressure get to the young rookie Bobby Breachmaker and he fumbled the boy, but the Boozers line corrected its mistakes and gave Breachmaker the time to recover it and complete a pass to Cven Carmikle. lucian hounded Cven and was about to tackle him, when freddy fredrick and william whitman came in for a crucial block that gave Cven the seperation necessary to run it in for a well earned touchdown. On that same drive Shaithis Died running feverishly to get to the ball, a death of the sun and his own determination to help his team. The sun continued to torture both teams as players fainted, and worse yet player that exherted themselves fell out of the game.
On return kick off the ravens called up what looked to be a passing play, unfortious for the ravens the sun had left lucian without enuff blockers and Larry Westlong with the assist from Cven Carmikle Forced lucian to the ground and the ball seemed to float to Cven who run it in for a beatiful defensive touchdown. The third drive left the ravens with too little time to manufacture a score, whilest lucian did complete a pass.
During Halftime a reporter asked Cven what drived him to score two touch downs in the first half. Cven replied he was doing it for the ladies.
Whilest the first half belonged to Cven the second would belong to Freddy Fredrick.
The Boozers sensing a weakening ravens line up yelled out the blitz play call. but thanks to the cool calm of lucian and the blazing speed of anghel the Ravens quickly picked up the blitz and scored a very quick touchdown, The Ravens were back in the game and ready to go to work on the Boozers offense.
The game was is in the hands of the Boozers they could either fence and parry or attack and destroy. Ecker (the Boozers head coach) not being the catious type order his offense to go deep and relied on the arm of Bobby Breachmaker to move the ball the length of the field. his faith was not misplaced as Breachmaker disceted the coverage of the ravens and threw a near perfect pass to Freddy Fredrick who ran it in untouched.
In what should've spelt the doom of the ravens chance of winning. The ravens did not dispare but rathered rallied and lucian was dead on a second time to Ivan for a second TD. The ravens fans Roared loudly for their team, noone could've predicted what happened next, that is unless you asked Freddy Fredrick whom caught the kick off and returned it for a touchdown in the winding seconds of the game.
In one of Bilge Blood Bowls classic openers it was not any one of the players that decided the victor but rather the team effort of players like Feddy Fredrick, William Whitman, and Cven Crmikle which won the day.”
