“Game held up due to a huge fight in the audience that overflowed onto the pitch. From the starting whistle it was obvious that the Stoppers were still grief-stricken over the tragic death of Dvalad Goldknuckle yesterday. THey just could not throw a proper block against the better prepared orcs. A lucky trip-up gave us the ball on a silver platter about halfway into the first half, and Silverheel ran off with it. Nyrath Orchammer was hurt in a hard tackle, as they kept knocking us down and we could barely touch the buggers. We made it to within scoring distance in the final moments, but their defense caught up with us. We can be proud of having kept their charge at bay short-handed for the first half, at least.
2nd half started 9 on 11, much to the same tune as the first. On the 2nd turn the orcs were upon us in force, tying my boys down in the center of the pitch. There wasn't much we could do, but try and get the ball away. That didn't work too well, either, as Silverheel fumbled the quick pass. On t3 Dzolandz blitzed Silverheel out of the way and grabbed the ball to make a run for it. Nali's attempt to chase him ended in an embarrassing trip-up trying to get away from the orc hanging on to his shirt. The greenskins made the most of this, securing the ball in our end, and wasting no time in finishing the score. Our 2nd drive was much better as far as the blocking went, but unfortunately we ran out of time.
A well fought win for Hora Zulu, and considering the beating the boys took last night vs those Khemri, it's a wonder it wasn't a more through thrashing today as well. It was a fairly disheartening sight when we emerged from the dressing room, to see Stoppers' banners and memorabilia hanging in tatters out of the dustbins. Apparently some fans were so disappointed with the boys' performance today that they've abandoned us.”
