Gilbar's great uncle was Nali Silverheel, a Longbeard for the original Short Stoppers. Gilbar's quick hands and longer stride made him better suited to be a Runner, however, and he's already shown great aptitude for the position in the first few games of his professional career.
It is most unfortunate, considering his obvious talent and ability in the game of Blood Bowl, to see that already in his 12th game, Gilbar has injured himself. There was no foul play that we're aware of, but he needed support from a teammate when we left the arena. Apparently the growing strain of the increasingly taxing matches has taken its toll on his physique, and while the doctors are confident the injury wont keep him from the pitch completely, it won't be going away either.
