“Another solid performance by the Stoppers. The Midnight Syndicate were obviously well prepared for the game and the team vampires must've been off for a bite just before the match, as they kept their bloodlust unusually well in check. The first half started on defense, and the Syndicate kept us more than busy for the whole duration, having secured the ball in our end on t6. There isn't much to be said of the half, the boys clearly did the best they could, but just couldn't keep the skilled opponents down.
Second half was our turn to drive. The Syndicate were awarded the chance to rearrange their defenses by the ref, I have so far not heard why. That messed up our game a fair bit, and indeed the first turn ended in a miserably failed blitz by the overzealous Thorfang. He let his enthusiasm get the better of him this time, I guess, and that very damn near cost us the game. We were able to recover, however, and get the ball back into our Runners' hands. Around this time we saw Dagon lose control and bite a Thrall, as well, which gave us a bit more hope. And soon enough indeed the boys found the right way to block the pale things, and were knocking them out left and right. Our Runners brought up the ball, and although they got taken down, the ball bounced favourably. And thanks to the cleverness of Halfor Giantbane, we were able to grab it and Nyrath Orchammer brought us to a tie in the final moments of the game. By this time, half Syndicate had been carried off the pitch KO'd.
So despite the slightly unsatisfying final result, the boys played very well, and are indeed showing a more and more concentrated, co-ordinated team than before. Well done, lads.”
