I'd not used Klassik Skrapp for a while and knew that catchers speed would, well, catch me out, not to mention blitzers etc.
The humans started well - tied me down, boxed me against the line and did an amazing 1 dice blitz on my ball carrier after I'd double skulled twice after RR to bring my drive to a shuddering halt.
It took desperation on my part - a dodge, then 2db on a catcher who'd shot off with the ball. It bounced to my thrower, a block to clear a path, long throw, rerolled with pass and score in turn 8 when it looked like my chance had gone and the humans had sneaked a crafty score in. Neither me nor my opponent knew what was to come, as till then the only casualties had been KOs and a miss next game for the humans. The humans were also dodging like elves for the most part through tackle zones and so on...
The 2nd half started with a blitz for me - in fact I got ALL the kickoff results :S
Still, the humans started by getting the ball moving - until they started dropped like flies - and I mean dropping. I think there were 4 players on the field, I'd lost none at all, not even a KO, so I can understand completely Battlehonks concession in the 15th turn through sheer non enjoyment of seeing his team dismantled.
Sometimes the dice are like that - a lot of my teams hit like they wear fluffy mittens, this one seems to get the luck I don't get often with other teams - god knows why. The humans were plucky enough to get a score in the 1st half and change the game completely, but I had a few turns of luck at the end of the 1st half and it set me up for a devastating second half where the dice completely wiped my opponent out.
Sorry for the 'game' Battlehonk - if you aren't completely disillusioned I would try Orcs as I was where you were at in this game until I found my 'home' with the green skinned uglies :)
Nasty, awful 1 sided dice hiding we've all been a victim of. I should think my turn is coming up real soon, cause lets face it, we all got it coming :S
Best o luck with the new team.
