“Apparently Academy isn't doing as great a job preparing coaches as it should.
Commissar was obsessed with gang fouling and setting up 3db blocks all game. The entire second half (which was his receiving half) he never even made a pickup attempt on the ball. Instead he lined up his entire team on the LOS. As I ran runners past his line (which didn't block the sidelines at all), he only made a halfhearted attempt to stop me, sending one blitzer to mark one runner, after he ran out of blocks to make (including moving players to add assists to make 3db blocks instead of securing the ball or stopping my blitzers).
The fouling was also noob time at the zoo. His first foul was with his only blitzer with Guard. He got lucky on the second when he got caught and argued (at least it was with a DP this time...). He also made a foul in T8 with the only catcher he had left, with the eye on him, and got him called off.
I overlooked the fact that he'd hired Mighty Zug and a wizard, since he's low CR and I figured that balanced things out a bit. But really, this was a silly and unsatisfying match against a coach who just wants to bash teams up and ignore the ball (and I mean more than most bashy coaches already do!). I only made 1 foul all game, and it was a T16 foul, just because this is exactly the type of player who deserved it.”
“This game didn't turn out right since turn one. . .
My star runner, the only one really meant to score a run, was knocked out into the crowd and ripped apart. (killed) This forced me to go bashy entirely, returning to my inital starting strat of kicking the sh-* out of the opposing team to gain as many SP's and cause as many casualties as possible. It worked well enough, seeing as Ychenkov, my star fouler, BHed both of his slayers, which helped exact revenge, but it didn't do well enough.
The rest of the game was a series of Stunned's and Prones, which didn't help much. Then again, it's not as bad as the game where my Thrower died going for it. That was some strange Bullsh-# right there.
Anyways, the match was well played by my opponent, but the death of Tolef was a great loss to the Hawks. He will be missed.
We are still in process of finding the fan who made off with his wedding band.”
