#4 Ugenohh Zephyrhider – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#4 Ugenohh Zephyrhider – Smashed Knee (NI)
A really enjoyable game against a top coach which was defined by two crucial errors. After going 1-0 up midway through the first half I thought I had stalled the Giants just short of my endzone, but after knocking the ball loose I stupidly ran my ag5 thrower into a crowd of players to try a pick up for a late breakaway score. However, it was far too risky, and the ball scattered into one of my own players' hands, who was close enough to the line to then be turned over for David J Ballard III to run in for the score.

1-1 at the start of the second and coach Nantti looked set to grind out a classic 2-1 win. But in the second to last turn he left a rookie Black Orc Blocker on the corner of his cage, Ueseanath Lonestar leapt in to 1db the ball loose, Abarlipn Starseer gathered it in and passed to Nasiel Nighthail to run away for the winner in the final seconds.

Lonestar deserved the MVP in this one for meancing the Orcs all game, delivering the pass for the first score in multiple TZs, and making the game winning blitz. But unfortunately it went to Udancirr Swiftwind instead, who promptly niggled on the aging roll, and was retired along with Ugenohh Zephyrhider.

Pretty annoying to loose a frenzy lion warrior and my ag5 accurate thrower in one game. The Raiders were looking in good shape for the Warpstone Open, with a good spread of different skills, but they now drop down into the strictly vanilla range unless I can get some players skilled up quick.

Thanks for the game Nantti, I hope to catch you in the Open all the same mate!

A really enjoyable game against a skilled and friendly coach.

I don't have much to add, the game went like benjysmyth desrcribed it and certainly taught me a lesson in keeping my head in the game for the full 16 turns.

Despite the loss, I'm happy my troll got the mvp so I was able to add another guard to the team. Now I just need some more anti-elf skills and the team looks decent for possibly entering the WO.

I'm sorry to hear Udancirr Swiftwind aged and I hope Lahilrian Raiders will recover and get a good squad together for the WO. I too hope that we'll meet up again there :)
