The decision to quit Daggers and Redfridge and coach some rotten Germans starts less than gloriously.

Borussia did a passing impression of elves, dodging with reckless abandon and succumbing to every foul that was inflicted on them. In return, United played like dorfs making unassisted blocks and simple ball-handling mistakes throughout the game. Definitely a frustrating game for both coaches.

But now we wish Warmaster's charges luck in pulping future opponents Rottingbadback may have to play. We will endeavour to return the favour, if we can forget these elf-balling traits that came to the fore today.

#6 KakaKilla – Broken Ribs (MNG)
My first ever game in OBBA and i hope it shows whats to come!
Fantastic game of defensive tactics from both coaches trying desperately to hold out what looked like a certain score both halves.

First half Somertown had numbers up high and slowly pushed forward. United players scrambled to get back but only a couple of 1D'ers managed to get even a token resistance in place. Somertown's tactical movement of bashing and moving out of tacklezones worked really well and i was confounded early on. Finally i started getting numbers and assists back before it bogged down into a bun fight. I finally managed a hit on the ball carrier and the ball came free but no-one could capitilise. 0-0 at half time and 9 v 9 for the 2nd half.
LUCK! My kickoff and not only does the ball go out for a touchback but i get the ref. Slowly i grind forward, my fouls taking a player out every one of the first 5 turns and leaving Somertown with 4 (then 3) beastmen and a Beast left in the penultimate last 3 turns. My own injuries left me with 7 but they just could not shake off the Rottingbacks defence. I began realising i was getting to the point that i wouldn't be able to score if i didn't get things moving in the 7th so i bashed all 3 beastmen down, ran Ger'ard downfield just 6 squares away from the zone and the beloved Giggsie failed the pickup! Giggsie had one diced the Beast in a feat of defensive heroics in the first half but miss-fired in attack!
All was not lost tho as Borussia's 3 beastmen were either on the ground or in tacklezones with no rerolls, but as he had done without fail the entire match, Somertown dodged and blitzed Ger'ard... the td chance looked over but he rolled Skull and Both Down! This was it! The chance to score in the final turn to take an epic victory! In shaking hands Giggsie picks up the ball and bolts downfield, cocks his arm back and throws true... its all down to Ger'ard to catch the ball and make a historical first win for United in their first game... and fummbled... dang!

Great game Somertown. I 1 diced with just stupidly good results while you dodged like elves! Frustrating match for both considering but still an epic defensive display from both. Good luck next round.
