“WIL Round 2

We're up against DaCoach's dark elves yet again, our third matchup in two seasons. They have hired a wizard and both their nigglers are playing so it could be tough. Just 11 players available however, so early injuries = success.

We start well, a mummy KILLING one of their LOS players - they use the apo to keep him on the pitch and our DP steps in to badly hurt him. They unleash the wizard seeing as our players are in a pile- knocking over a mummy and zombie but neither ghoul. It's all the space they need however, as they 2d blitz over the ghoul with the ball and steal it with a witch elf! We can't knock her over and they swarm through dodging like mad things, and again we fail to knock her over. T3 and they could score but decide to stall and we push through to get a tackler standing over her- badly hurting their tackle/strip-ball blitzer on the way. Our kicker wight manages to KILL himself with double skulls but fortunately regens.

They are stalling extremely well, moving back and forth across our endzone and dodging all their players back every turn. We never get a block on their witch elf again before she scores on T6 when the pressure starts to mount.

We have two turns to try and score vs 7 elves, and we rush through 5 possible receivers into their half, but then fumble the pickup two turns in a row- curses! On their final turn their DP puts our guard ghoul in the BH box.

We are now kicking vs 8 elves and 1-0 down... this will become very difficult if they manage the 2-turn TD. At least our kicker might slow them down a bit. At kick off their fans get the ref.

They pick up with their thrower and have 3 further elves back as a screen, while they try and push through with their remaining players. We crowdpush one and our DP puts the witch elf in the BH box. The following turn a mummy BHs their AGI5 elf, and the turn after our DP KILLS an AGI3 one. We cast raise the dead to make him the 2nd member of their team to play for us!

We've crushed their team into the dust, but it's too little too late, and we can only score on T7. We wish for a blitz.. and get it!!

But then our MA9 ghoul trips up with a double 1 on a GFI, stunning himself! The elves dodge back to stand over the ball, and we fail to blitz through and the game ends!
