We're up against pac's dwarves who we once beat in a WIL Plate quaterfinal. We've only managed 2 draws so far this season so we need a win badly to get back up from 2nd last.
We kick deep in the blizzard and rush players down one side while tieing up a number of longbeards near the LOS. On T2 we can dodge our guard wight next to their runner with the ball and with a RR our MA9 ghoul KO's him before catching the ball on the bounce! With most of their team cut off from the ball we are able to stall out a few turns in some safety, until our new mummy is KO'd and we score on T7 to get two wake up calls.
3/3 of their dwarves wake up while our guard wight remains asleep for the 2nd half.
We receive and push down one side with 3 ghouls, though we lose 2 zombies early on and are now outnumbered. T3 and a MB tackler KILLS our MA9 super ghoul while their trollslayer badly hurts himself with double skulls vs our +STR mummy and we can score after a simple 2d blitz to make it 2-0.
They have 4 turns to try and counterscore but a deep kick from our kicker means they barely get into our half before the final whistle blows.
