We've beat them before, last season, but it was ludicrously close. This time they get a handicap of illegal drugs giving +STR to a SV so both of them have STR4.. hrm.
We KO a linerat with our T1 foul, and on T2 can take advantage of unfortunate blocking dice to tackle over a dauntless GR into the KO box as well. They -AV injure our tackle/guard wight- but luckily he regens, and the same turn they surround our STR6 mummy, block him over, and then dodge a rookie rat through a tackle zone to put in the foul for a MNG- luckily he regens too!
T3 and they try and dodge two GRs through a smallish maze of tackle zones to get in a 2d dauntless blitz vs our ghoul... but the 2nd GR trips up and badly hurts himself. We tackle over the other one and then DP foul him into the BH box too. They get in a nice 2d blitz with a buffed up SV that knocks the ball free, but now they are down to 6 players vs our 9. But fumble fingers from our ghouls sees us waste turns 6 and 7, and a double 1 on T8 means no chance to score. Whoops!
An astounding 1 out 5 KOs wakes up from the rat dugout so they have only 7 vs our 11 as we kick off for the 2nd half. They go for the quick score (their best option) but use up a reroll trying to knock over our tackle zombie early on and then drop the 2+ catch with their MA10 GR! We swarm in, steal the ball, KO the last GR, and then run the ball to safety, before stalling out some 6 turns. It's nailbiting stuff for the rat coach as our DP fouls again and again against their 3 remaining players... where's the ref gone!? Their apo is used saving a niggle but no further damage is caused before we run in the winner.
